The technology used in packaging has a rich history dating back over 100 years. Initially, it was best known and commonly used for packaging eggs. However, in the last 30 years, this type of packaging has also been used for packaging fruits, vegetables, and as industrial packaging, bringing a wider variety of applications.
In the last 5 – 10 years, this material and packaging technology has moved into the mainstream, especially in the last 3 years, showing a more pronounced presence in the market.
